Who we are

My Puppy Coach is a puppy coaching service run by Amanda Meir trading as My Puppy Coach. Our website is mypuppycoach.com and you can contact us at amanda@mypuppycoach.com.

We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.

What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

Your name, email address, and phone number when you make a booking or enquiry
Information about your puppy (breed, age, and any relevant behaviour details) when booking a coaching session
Payment details when you purchase a service — these are processed securely by our payment provider and we do not store your card details ourselves

We also collect limited technical data automatically when you visit our site, including your IP address and browsing behaviour, via cookies. Please see our Cookie Policy for more detail.

If you register your interest in an upcoming service, we collect your email address for that purpose only.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We use your information to:

Process and manage your bookings — legal basis: contract
Communicate with you about your sessions — legal basis: contract
Send you information about new services or offers where you have opted in — legal basis: consent
Improve our website and understand how visitors use it — legal basis: legitimate interests

Who we share your information with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run our business:

Wix — our website and booking platform, which processes data on our behalf
Payment processor — to handle transactions securely
Microsoft 365 — for business email

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

How long we keep your information

We keep booking and client records for up to 6 years in line with standard UK business and tax obligations. Email marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe. Interest registration emails are kept until the relevant service launches, after which we will contact you with the option to continue hearing from us or be removed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate information
Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances
Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing
Object to processing based on legitimate interests
Make a complaint to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) at ico.org.uk
